I think she deleted one of the registry files, the one where the Content Advisor settings are saved. Although the architecture of the files structure is different on my work machine (NT), I can see a file for the Content Advisor that holds the current settings. I don't see one on my home Win98 machine and don't have access to another 98 machine to look exactly where it should be. Everytime I launch IE, I get a warning that some Cont Adv settings cannot be found. All the settings are default at every new instance of IE. The kicker is that on the General tab, the Content setting doesn't have "Users can see sites that have no ratings" box checked so my home page, TSN won't open. I have to wait about 60-90 sec to get the Navigation Cancelled screen at which point I can fix the settings through Tools\Internet Options\Content dialogue. But the settings are only active until IE is closed and relaunched at which time the process has to be repeated. Adjusting the settings through the control panel outside of IE doesn't work either. As soon as the dialogue is closed the settings appear to be lost as the next session of IE still doesn't work right.
Sorry for the non-Saab content. The connection is that it's a hassle to get to my favorite site.
