Problem: I cannot execute and cgi scripts on my server. I keep getting error 500, "internal server error" when an action calls on any script.
Basically, I am running Apache 1.3.2 on Yellow Dog Linux (PPC version, Kernel 2.2.4 I believe) here at home. The server is connected via cable modem, with a router in between. Everything else I have set up works: HTTP, FTP, DNS, sendmail. The only time I get a server error is when calling on a cgi script. I have set file permissions correctly on all scripts, checked this at least twice. No problems there. The "#!" has the correct path to perl (/usr/bin/perl) for my system. I have read throught the entire httpd.conf file at least twice looking for specific options that could be causing my problems. What else could be going wrong? I have been scouring the web for the past few days trying to figure this out, with no avail, and its starting to make me go crazy. Its all I think about.
Thanks in advance,
~ben
