That drawing of the smiling driver comes totally alive in the ad.
But perception is a personal thing. What is racey to one, is damn right dangerous to another. Afterall: a SAAB is not a boy's racer like a WRX or EVO-7. It is a man's car that boy racers have also taken a fancy to. The SAAB type driver knows what he wants, without being influenced by marketing hype. In which case the adverts would then have to be aimed at other car drivers for them to experiencee the "SAAB experience". This is not as easy as it sounds. Especially for a company where such marketing tactics are yet to be understood... Just look at the previous 9-5 advert. Hardly said anything that was usefull. Compare that to the Volvo 850 version, where a 850 goes screaming after an aeroplane. Now, that made a lot more impact!
