But 15% taxes when you register a new vehicle. The US vehicle will not be taxed if he it has been owned for a period of time before import. Works both ways. You will be pohibitted from selling the Saab for a period of time, perhaps 1 year.
Ontario has emissions testing, an out of province vehicle might have to go through an emissions test, but perhaps not for a vehicle under certain age/miles. An safely inpection and cert may also be required.
Fuel is very expensive, no propery tax on the vehicle. Lots of salt, big time COLD. The Saab will start well. Good wines cheaper in LCBO than state side liqour stores and better selection too. Lots of international foods in the basic grocery stores. Great eating variety in Ottawa.
The company will probably pay for moving expenses, perhaps not cost of registration. Maybe even some hardship pay? :)
You can learn some french while you are there and start talking funny eh?

I moved from Ontario to Kansas 5.5 years ago, with 95SET in tow.
