OK, I was skeptical about the winter capability of any "all-season" tire here in Michigan but we got a nice 6" coating on Monday and I must say that these tires are just plain AWESOME. They're the only all-season tires to be certified by the tire industry for severe winter weather (with the mountain and snowflake symbol). They're an improved design over the older NRW and they've proven to be excellent on dry roads too.

I've always been skeptical about all-season tires, and had the opinion that they were really no-season tires (too much of a compromise to be good under any conditions). Well, these Nokians haven't disappointed me in any way yet. They're quiet. They're comfortable. They handle well in the wet, the dry, and the snow. If they have a downside, I haven't been able to find one yet. They're not the tires I'd use for autocrossing or for track days, but they're the best 50,000 mile tires I think you can find.
