Hi,
There's no torque steer on ANY 9-5, not even the Aero. There is also
no torque steer on 9-3SS.
The trouble with FWD is that engine power cannot be increased past
300HP without causing front tires to spin (or limited by ESP) due
to rear-ward weight shift during hard acceleration especially from
stand-still.
Saab doing RWD would be like BMW doing FWD. If Saab did RWD, it would
be like Saab admitting that BMW was right all along, which is definitely
not the case.
RWD has advantages only on dry pavement. So, if one has enough money
to buy one-self two cars, BMW could be the fun car one drives only on the
sunny weekends.
I want to see AWD on Saab but not RWD. Saab is a Swedish make and has
to handle slick roads with aplomb. RWD is only good for getting stuck
in a snow drift.
thanks
Jae
