On top of all the other crap I've gone through...
Yesterday I bought an adapter for my laptop so I can dial up my university ISP for internet access. The guy at the Sprint store says it won't cost me anything to use it, but it will use my plan minutes. No problemo.
I play around with the thing for a couple days, kind of neat except it only transmits at 14.4.
I then call Sprint today, just to make sure they aren't charging me for any strange reasons, and sure enough, they have been charging me 40 cents a minute for the 126 minutes Ive used. I then explained to the CSR that the guy said it was a free service. Well she then "educated" (in her own words) me about the fact that I have to pay $5 a month for this feature, called Wireless Web, which is the same name given to the internet service that I can access on the digital display of my cell phone. grrrr. After 10 minutes of stating my case that I should just have to pay the $5 fee, since the guy should have told me about the need to pay this, she would only offer to pay HALF of the $40some that had accrued of my web use. I called back a while later, and got another CSR moron. Same thing, except she pointed out to me in a sarcastic way that I had called "three times already about this." Then I asked to please speak with her supervisor, and she said that she had no supervisor. She said there was no one above her. Grrrr.
I call back 10 minutes later, and speak to a delightful woman who fixed everything up for me in five minutes, no questions asked. It just goes to show, you gotta keep calling back until you get someone with a BRAIN!!
