...could have been a great campaign, but the problem was they never seemed to tie "finding your own road" back to what makes a Saab unique.
A similar situation is being experienced by Chrysler right now. Did you notice they took their horrible tagline "Drive = Love" and changed it to "Drive & Love." A subtle change...still a horrible tagline as far as I'm concerned, but now open to much more interpretation.
We Saab-o-philes are funny on this site- everyone is recommending a tagline that somehow makes the consumer "think." Saab would be better off making an emotional, rather than an intellectual connection. Why not show rally footage of the 9-3, rather than some bland Euro-dude driving in empty Euro streets while a soccer match is on? There's another mistake- nobody in the U.S. stays home to watch Soccer...thus, no emotional connection to that commercial.
