Tom Shaughnessy brought his 375MM Spyder PF to the Colorado Grand driving it the 1000 kilometers. It was just ear splitting the sound of the engine, even when not standing on it. The weather wasn't great that year as I recall, seemed cold and the rain had to make it somewhat miserable to be in a convertible.....I'd suppose the engine heat would have helped keep the cabin a bit more comfy, if you had a passenger, headsets were a must......:-)
What is odd is that the Spyder PF didn't look much like the original 375MM, like what you see in Bernie's gallery with the front fender inner panels exposed. I suppose Shaughnessy's car was a later model that was in transition to the upcoming models with the enclosed fenders. What works of art those are.....
