Does anybody know why we're talking about motorcycles, Lincoln Town Cars and Jeeps?
My first thought was that the motorcycle reference was directed at me, since I ride a 1998 VFR800, but if I want to credit an interesting segue, let's say that motorcycles were mentioned as they have no roofs or doors to limit side visibility. Unless you're sitting in a BarcaLounger cruiser you do sit higher on a bike, with absolutely NO front pillars to block your view.
Most sport bikes do have terrible mirrors, where you get a good look at your elbows, not so good for what's behind you. If you've got ape-hangers on your bike, I guess you could have the mirrors up high.
I'd like to think that my full-face helmet has less blocking of peripheral vision than most, but turning your head to see behind your flanks is also limited.
