There's a 'ridge' on the inner wheelwells where the OE wiring is routed past the rear bench on the driver's side. I passed the cable from the batt there, and continued along the floorpan 'backbone'in the middle, where it goes up behind the center console and through the grommet behind the steering column. Of course, the cable needs to be tied down with the same kind of clamps Saab uses in the engine bay, bolted to the chassis (I chose to 'suspend' the power cable from the floor by bolting it to the centaral 'tunnel'to avoid issues with moisture etc.). By running the live battery cable through the middle of the car for nearly all of its run to the front, good protection from crash damage is achieved (I think).
No ground issues when running a short lead to an OE ground in the rear, whatsoever.
