Clearance between Silicone Drain Hose and Exhaust Pipe?

When I replaced my Garret on my SAAB 9000 CS 95 with a Mitsubishi TD04, I made a new drain flange and connected it to 3/4" Blue Silicone 4 Layer ( One Layer is Red) Hose from JGS Tools to it and ran it to the port on the Block. No matter how short I tried to make the run, the hose seems to end up a 1/4" above the Exhaust Pipe leaving the Turbo. I am not exactly a Red Hot Turbo driver with a Red Hot pipe but I am still apprehensive about going down the highway 3 months from now when this is "forgotten" and siezing my engine. Obviously I will check the hose every week or so but I have no oil level guage like my RX7 had.
Is my concern appropraite? Might I cook that hose and if so what clearance is permissible? Thanks for putting up with me everyone, I would like to hit 300Hp this summer without anything breaking so I try to be very very careful.
