Hello everyone...
I thought this was interesting, because I have a T3/T4 i'm trying to utilize on my older 9000...

According to that link above, Garrett has started to make rebulid kits for your older t3/t4 style turbos that uses the new GT style dual ball bearing center section, and you can get them in several different wheel combinations to fit the housings you already have. It's fully balanced, so you just bolt your old housings on and clock them, then you're done... and it will just be "more reliable" and spool faster, i suppose... but considering the price, if someone had a blown t3/t4 and wanted to rebuild/upgrade rather than replace with a more expensive GT style turbo, then try and change all the other hardware to work with the GT turbo... I suppose this is an option.
I found a few sites to buy it from, that offer different combinations of wheels for the same price... $850 from the first and $935 from the second site...

Just out of curiosity...
If I bought this kit, I would be putting on a .42 AR compressor housing, and a .48 AR turbine housing... stock specifications I believe...
... would i need to clip the turbine to reduce backpressure, or go to a .63 AR turbine housing... or would it not matter...
anyone?
I'm looking to keep this car as streetable as possible... don't care much for high HP dyno results... obviously if i did i would be driving a T5 saab already ;)
