can anyone tell me how reducing wastegate pressure affects performance?
does it affect turbo lag? theoretically...?
my particular circumstance: (88 airflow modified). i purchased an 8.2 psi (small blue) wastegate spring from tial for my 38mm external WG. i found thast the spring it came with was the large green spring, which is rated at ~13 psi. id drive the car about 200 miles since finishing it and it was really fast and boosted 20+ psi, but the ramp of the boost was really slow but ramped steadily. im curious whether the turbo will lag more or less. it already seemed like i had alot of lag.
i would just hop in and drive it, but im working on finishing a few final things like the water injection. but my beloved airflow will finally make it to carlisle this year!
