Bill Hendren of Hendrens Racing Engines
this guy is 60 years old & builds 800+BHP NA V8s & has made power every way there is to do it
after going over every detail verry clearly with him he fealt my timing was still conservative for the shot I was giving it & that Im just exceeding the pistons limits
the car literally makes over 525BHP when it breaks
there was no audible knock , the AF was rich & the timing was pretty retarded
yesterday with the timing one degree back the car wasent up to its potential at all I could run 20PSI with the 125 shot & then it fealt pretty good but not like it did before on 15PSI with the timing more advanced
adding the one degrree really made a huge difference in the power this morning
both times the piston/s just broke
this time on #4 there was burning on the crown but I think that occurrred after the breakage as I was still on the N02 & boost well after the piston broke
