Intercooler misting question

I am asking this question on behalf of Nordic Motors, Inc. in San Carlos, CA. They are running an EVO rally car with H2O misting (external) onto the intercooler surface triggered by a pressure switch. They are not running internal H2O injection. My question, would it be better to mist the intercooler exterior with a Methanol/H2O mixture rather than pure H2O? Anyone have real life experience with this set-up?
Thank you.
