but I won't likely have it by the track day in October. Sigh. Just thinking out loud and looking ahead as it always takes me a while to get my ducks in a row. And find the play money.
An Aero TD04 is the ideal and I'll keep looking. I have the Aero ECU now and it definitely makes a difference over the standard one. (and maybe why our cars are about even on the straights). What I'd LIKE is the TD04, have the ECU remapped and a 3" exhaust. About 300 or so BHP would be about right.
But what would actually give more bang for the buck is a Quaife LSD and stickier tires (which mean a spare set of rims). And that much power would make the Quaife a requirement for good track use. Cornering capabilities, at least on a technical course like NHIS, is more important than speed down the straights. And you get more of that if your exit speeds are higher. When you think about that track, you're cornering a whole lot of the time.
