I have driven with and helped with ecu tuning with Gary's 9k and I was blown away at how fast this car was on the road race course. He has often been the fastest car at the track with his 9k aero with SAS sway bars, lighter weight, suspension parts, 18T and tuning.
I fell in love with the car and I too had a 9k aero and I did many of the same things, lowered the car, koni adjustable, poly bushings in some places, SAS sway bars, top strut brace, rear seat removal, new racing seats soon to come in my car.
I set the power up with stg 4 hard ware, I have a ETS intercooler, 19T turbo, 3" exhaust and recently 60# injectors and E85 tuning that made a huge difference in power.
I am not quite as good as Gary on the track, but I as able to run right with many cars, lapped the field twice one session and have to say, it was a good race with the Mazda Miata cars, they do seem to handle very well, I would pull them like crazy on the straights, but they would catch me in the corners. I would like to see what Gary could do at our track here in Denver, high plains. I did surprise many people for sure and the full on SCCA Rx7 cars were having fun with me, it was a battle lap after lap :-)
I am sure Gary will chime in,
John
