Try to find out more about the turbo, .48 A/R is typical but for a 300 plus HP you'd need to go to a .63 A/R. Also trim is just the relationship from the compressor wheel's inducer to it's exducer which doesn't tell you the actual wheel size. One way to spot a Chinese POS turbo is that their compressor housings are usually die cast in other words real shinny, if that's the case stay away from it! As turbocon86 said the T3 is old technology however with the right after market turbine wheel and a proper choice of compressor wheel a T3 can be made to work well for what you're looking for with the right A/R of course. !
