Viggen as track car?

Hi Saabers!
It's been ages since I've been on here as I sold the last of the 5 Saabs I owned some time ago.
Anyway, I recently bought a car to use as my fun/track car and I've decided it's too nice/expensive to track, so it'll just be a fun car.
Thus, I want to buy a car that will do all of the following:
1.
Be usable as a track car (hpde stuff only);
2.
be moderately practical;
3.
be something that I'm not going to completely stress over in terms of where i park it - however, it also needs to be a car that fits the career I have (i.e., a geo metro wouldn't).
Thus, a 5 door viggen seems like a potentially good match for me! It can be made to handle well, I can get one for not an awful lot of money (though the 5 doors are hard to find); it's unique and I like that.
So, might it be too fragile to be used as an infrequent track car? I only do 1-3 hpde's/year)...
I look forward to your replies.
