anyone out there reving past 6000?

Does anyone have experience with modifying their C900 16v turbo engine to rev past 6000 rpms? I am always told that stiffer springs would be needed to avoid valve float (plus getting past the limieter and all), but I am really wondering if the hydraulic lifters would be an obstacle. I have always heard that hydraulic lifters are only good to about 6000 rpms. Does anyone know for sure about our Saabs?
