I have Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires size 205/50/16 mounted on BBS RK (split spoke) wheels.

Here's what the wheels look like:

This combination was an absolute bargain directly from Saab last year after they ran out of the normal Viggen snow tire package from http://www.saabcatalog.com. If I remember correctly I got the whole package for about $900 but the tires were not mounted on the wheels.

The Michelins did a very respectable job here in Michigan last winter. They provide a great compromise between snow/slush and dry performance. The incredible number of sipes in the tread give it great grip on icy surfaces. Are there better snow tires or ice tires? Probably. But the Michelins seem to be just about perfect for the winter conditions here in Metropolitan Detroit.

Plus it's an awesome looking package. No winter ugly-duckling syndrome for my Viggen.
