Have done a little bit of homework on this one but havent found an octane boost only at reasonable cost. I have NON Cat 89 900T16 the fuel filler is red so I assume I can run Lead Replacement?

Have tried that once and seemed to smooth out running nicely, all felt just a bit more sorted, but price varies dramatcically (4 to 8p supplement (per litre!)).

98 (Super) Unleaded from France where it's only 2p more gives a similar result.

98 Unleaded in UK is prohibitively expensive!!

The most sensibly priced octane boost I have found, comes in the form of Castrols Valvemaster Plus. This is a lead replacement as well. Looks like it will work out at about 4p/L.

Has anyone got and definative ideas on this one. Will the lead replacement stuff do harm or good??
