Here's what you do... Posted by Karl [Email] (#161) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Karl) on Thu, 21 Dec 2000 10:15:46 In Reply to: Upgrading ECU . Need Help!!!, Alan, Thu, 21 Dec 2000 04:31:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Alan,
What you need to do is a) find a salvage yard that has a 9000 CS Turbo of the same year as yours is (doesn't matter if it's a 2,0 t/150 or a 2,3t/170 or a 200hp. As long as it's the same year you should be fine.
b) Buy that ECU and send it to whichever company you choose to do the upgrade for you.
There will be no upgraded ECU's lying around in the salvage yards. But any T5 ECU will be fine as a "base" for a tuning company to program the upgraded S/W on. That way you'll avoid downtime. Expect to pay 100-150 USD. 200 max!
Good luck!
