Awesome job Mike! My convertible has almost IDENTICAL mods, even the 98' super aeros, except the trent stuff, and even though Brad offered for me to try the aquamist, I haven't done it yet. It's amazing how similiar our cars are.
I also have an IC fan, and a ram-air kind of set up. One thing that I have done that you could benefit from in your set-up is to incorporate some racing brake cooler fans in line with your 3" duct work. It will make it a pduedo forced induction. Nascar uses these on all of their cars, they're bulletproof and they pull/flow over 250cfm. It has made a big difference on mine( I have the same duct work)especially off of a long-hot idle. Mine are wired to be on all of the time, but you can work them off of a switch. I paid $10 a piece for the Wildwood 3" puller fans at the local Nascar chop house. I can get them for you if you want them.
I don't have a forge bypass, I've been using the brass updated saab unit, and it's been OK. I have the intrax and performed the head job fairly recently, and it made a HUGE difference, especially in the top end. My best friend and I have a side business doing metal finishing(all types) so I just polished and plated the heck out of everything under the hood, and did the obligatory powdercoating. I don't think I'm gonna do anything else to this car because it doesn't get any traction as it is. I also have a CSE and a 9-3SE convert, and I think they have more potential. Excellent job on your car Mike, and let me know if you want to try the ducting fans.
