For similicity and economy, you want to stick to the G-Valve options. The non G-Valves are essentially fancier, mass manufactured versions of the same thing. Most have found that the G-Valve works just as well but costs much less.
You can build your own for about $15 using Gus's or Dempsey's instructions. With Dempsy's setup, you'll need to install a bleed orifice of some kind; he uses the stock restrictor from his car (that's the gold thing that sticks off the other end of the Tee), but the 9-3 doesn't have one. All you really need is a small hole for air to bleed out of. The size is somewhat critical to prevent excessive boost spikes. You could use a small needle valve (should be able to find at a decent hardware store or from McMaster-Carr) to make this orifice adjustable. In his solution, Gus just uses a 0.020" hole drilled in the barb on the wastegate end of the valve.
If you're confused by all this and just want something you can take out of the box and put it right in your car, you can get Gus's setup delivered to your door fully assembled for $35. Darren Dawes (Dawes Devices, linked under "other G-Valves" on that page) supplies these. There are many happy NG900 and 9-3 owners using this exact valve.
