Back in March when I was shopping for tires my priorities were 1) performance 2) ride quality 3) price. I think the AVS Sports represent the best combination of the three. Now I'd have to also consider the S-03 Pole Positions but they weren't available when I was buying.
I've read just about every tire review out there and the Yokos get knocked fairly consistently for 1) treadwear and 2) noise. These two things suprise the heck out of me. My AVS Sports withstand punishment MUCH better than the old Dunlop SP Sport 2000's. Even tirerack noted how much better the wear was compared to the SP Sport 9000's and the S-02 Pole Positions (see my "test info" post below). And I have absolutely NO complaint whatsoever about the noise.
One very strong recommendation to all Viggen owners--buy 225/45-17. They fit with no clearance issues at all and perform much better than the 215s.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
