The Dyno run is planned for mid January, it's about 3 hours from here. They specialize in Mustangs, but said they could take care of me. I do not know the brand of dyno, but my understanding is that they can log and graph A/F ratio and boost. I'm really looking forward to it.
Ignition curve:
Good fuel
16 initial
36 total all pulled in by 2500
I bring it down to 32 around the torque peak at 5K, tapered back up on both sides.
Vacuum advance is 6 from very high vacuum to just above idle which is about 19" of Hg. I taper in 7 more in the cruise ranges, then taper it out as it approaches 0 psi.
This gives me easy starting, then it idles at 22. I can really lean the mixture out at cruise, it doesn't even register on the A/F gauge from 15 to 8" of Hg. The only reason I'm drooping it around the torque peak is to compensate a little when I put the boost back to it.
Poor fuel
16 inital
32 total pulled in by 3K, dropped to 30 from 4500 to redline.
Vacuum advance is 3 and 5 more pulled in at cruise.
I'm still working with the curve, but these seem to work really well. I haven't done any testing with the turbo and these curves yet, probably by next weekend though.
