OK I have had previous posts about an overheating 88 SPG tat I am going to purchase, now I have pretty much ruled out the head gasket as the problem (but not completly), now I am down to probable the radiator is the problem or just a bad thermostat. Now there are no sgns of bubbles in the coolanttank or milky look in the oil dipstick spot or even in the coolant tank. The heater core and components are new along with the water pump. I am just wondering if it is possible to drive with it overheating say 2 1/2 hours on a highway? Will I have to keep putting in water or coolant, or will driving at 65-70 miles an hour in the cold keep it cool? Or should I just have it towed to my house which is about 5 miles form my mechanic? I am just taking precautionary steps before I go and buy the car. Thanks in advance,
Kyle Crisman
