This question has recently been asked on Saab Turbo Club of Sweden's BB and I'll try to translate.
Dr Boost's answer:
"If you overbore too much the cylinder walls gets too thin and they tend to break. If you stroke a lot you will get nasty angles for the rods."
Tony 418's answer:
"I'm agreeing with Dr Boost, it's not recommended to stroke this engine. It is possible to reach arounf 2,5 liters but it's not going to be a durable turbo engine.
If you want to increase the volume the smartest thing to do is to install a crank from a 2,3liter "long"-engine from a 90-93 9000. Then you have to modify the H-rods to be shorter and find really low-compression pistons. With a bore to 92 mm you can reach 2393 cc or with 93 mm you can reach 2445 cc.
You will have to put a lot of effort down to make that big crank to rotate in that small block. The crank will have to be lathed/grinded and the block will need to be modified in a lot of places. Apart from that the #1 rod have to be modified in the big end and the top of the gearbox have to be grinded to give room for the crank to rotate
When everything is done you will have a nice engine with a lot of torque and hp, but as Dr Boost said the angles for the rods will be nasty so it's not going to be an engine for high rpm."
Hope that this is helping you...
