You didn't say what vehicle you have - I'm assuming it's a 9000.
If you're concerned about engine temperature, then a better intercooler is what you need. If you're getting 300 hp from the SQR,
then your living 'on the edge' with the stock IC. A general rule of thumb is that for every degree drop in intake temperature, the
exhaust will drop the same amount. The SQR will generate a lot
of heat in that engine and if you're doing sustained WOT, eventually
the software should cut back the boost because of the increased
temperature. A colder plug wont lower combustion temperatures -
they're set by ambient, chemical, and mechanical conditions.
Another reason for an upgraded IC is this: if you're getting high
boost pressures from the SQR (23 psi?), then it's only a matter
of time before the plastic end tanks will fail.
