Boost Guage placement in '99 9-5

I have an early production '99 9-5 and want to put an AutoMeter boost gauge in it so i can keep track of things. (You'll note the early production 9-5's didn't have Saab's boost gauge in them). However, i can't really see a good place to put it w/out getting that "rice" look. I looked at my A-pillar but w/ being carpeted and all, i don't think i could get it on there any other way than by strapping it on w/ zipties. Does anyone know of a company that makes a gauge pod that would fit and keep the carpet?...or of a good place to put a boost gauge? Thanks for your help.
