That Aero will run alot stronger at opposite temps than your seeing. I live in South Georgia, and I can tell you that the 92-98F degree weather we see around this swap just mkes my car run like CRAP. It's also like always high humidity around here, must be 70-90% at all times. Again the SAAB don't like that either. I won't even get into the dewpoint numbers as they stay up there as well. It's been my experience that these things run really, really strong when the temps drop down below say 50 degrees, but that's not often around here unless it's winter and night at the same time. And your in Florida so those temps won't stay around very long even when you do see them. Man this sucks!!
I usually either do 1 of two things when I prepare to shut my car down. They only really need to be done though I think if you've been driving really hard.
1. I drive the last .5 mile before I get to my house at slow speds, below 25 mph and stay outta bost at that time.
2.I let the car idle for about 30-45seconds in the driveway befor eshutting it down.
Both are easy really cause I can just drive around the block taking a different route to my house and that keeps me under 25mph til I reach my house. Or when I decide to simply pull up to the house directly from a long drive, I do such things as turn on the inside light, search for my wallet that's been flung across the car somewhere, make sure I don't have other items that need to go indoors, pick up any small pieces of trash that need discarding, or whatever. Then by the time I've finished looking around for these things, it's already been 30-45 seconds and I can shut it down and get out. I hardly ever have to leave my car in a hurry so, it works greats. Even driving around a parking lot, looking for a place to park takes that long......
See Ya,
Phill
