Why is my aero slower now?

I installed a JT downpipe and catco cat onto my aero and it seems slower now, it doens't seem to spool up as fast, the rest of the system is stock, I haven't done anything else, did I mess up my beloved 94 aero? I remember before when it was stock it would rip when I floored it, now it seems about as fast as a 98 maxima automatic when you floor it, quick, but now fast. Do you think I should notice an increase in performance from just the downpipe and cat? HELP!!!
