Though, your summers are probably warmer than those in Seattle (most are). Still, I can't see that 2C is enough of a different to hunt and search for the 80C version. My car runs about 1/4 to just under 1/2 while cruising, depending on outside temperature and whether I'm going downhill.
On the other hand, when my car had the stock version (89C?) it would run typically 1/2 to 3/4 on the gauge, which to me did seem high for just cruising around.
I should note that it doesn't often get below freezing here in the winter either, so if you live somewhere that it does, perhaps you indeed would want the warmer one.. I believe as far as the fan switch goes, it's best to have it the same temperature as the thermostat.
