I am not really sure what the power increases are with those mods. People have stated that adding a better proted head is like adding a better turbo. So 12 PSI would be like 15-18 PSI before the head work. Again, I am not sure the exact increase.
I am using a 2.1/2.3 head with 2.3L cams on my car. I am anxious to see how it works :o)
I have had my 4 speed trans since last march/april. I am just waiting on my motor to be finished & then I can see how it works.
Price wise, I am not sure what everything costs. Since Dave@SPG9 is doing a motor for me, I can't recall what everything costs. You might want to just give them a email ot call to see what they have to say. I do remember finding a 2.1L head for $400 ish but again, that didn't include porting etc :o(
The shifter is $125-425 depending on who's you go with. Mine goes for more because of what it's made of & the fact that it costs $50 to bring it from Sweden to the states. There is also a $31 part which adapts it to a 4 speed & I would think that part would work on the cheaper version as well, but I don't know for sure :o(
