Why just rear sway bar?

After driving the 93SS, I've decided that my 93SE suspension pretty much bites it so as a first step I'm getting sway bars. Just wondering, why does everyone get only the rear? Seems to me that you'd want the inside wheel to stay put. However, I understand the arguement that one might want the weight put on the outside wheel to prevent understeer. However, if that tire lets loose, you're finished.
