As far as having $95 in profit, you forgot labor. If your shop is doing boeing & aerospace work their shop rate probably went past $50/hr years ago. Can you make the abbott parts in 2 hours? Eventually (if you're good), once you've developed tooling and figured all the processing out, but in the mean time you're getting killed. And there is no profit and most shops like profit.
Looks to me like the abbott clamp/brace sells for about $440, is there good money in that? Sure, but not a lot when you figure you have to pay to have a bunch made and then hold the inventory.
Don't know about f-racing, they were the abbott distributor in sweden (now it's speedparts) so I'm guessing their clamp/brace is the abbott one or maybe f-racing makes it for abbott. Don't know.
My point? I don't really have one other than once you look at the abbott stuff, in my case as a machinist, you realize that it's really nice quality and that they've really thought about what they're doing. I think some abbott stuff is worth what you pay and the vrk is one of those, but their ecu's stink.
Good luck, keep us posted.
