Hi,
I feel that the Intercooler situated behind the A/C condensor and getting all the heat from the condensor will not affect the power output of the engine much. The heat generated by the condensor is not that much and I suspose the T7 being so intelligent, will conpensate for the loss in air density. U can get a more efficent intercooler with a reduce pressure drop. BTW, the WRX Intercooler is situated on top of the engine which will be heat soak when the car is idling. The car needs to move in order to direct the air via the bonnet scoop to cool the intercooler.
Anyway, placing the condensor right in front is to increase the air con efficiency so that the compressor need not work too hard. The car is designed to be a road car, and not a track or drag car so this Intercooler positioning thing is not a big concern. If u are modding the car for big power, u can place it right in front.
Just my 2 cents!
