vac line goes to a small MAP sensor, and the signal via a very large wiring harness goes to the gauge. I have all my gauges tapped into the ash tray light for the illumination, but that will not run the gauge. Each of the electrical Autometer Coobalt gauges run a separate wire for gauge function, even the A/F gauge (my old phantom series did not have this). for now I have the 'constant source to the other hot wire from ash tray that runs through fuse.
I just ordered a mechanical Autometer gauge (Phantom series) similar to what I had before so I don't have to worry about calibration probs again.
there is a huge difference in price betweent electrical boost gauges and mechanicaly. The nice phantom mechanical gauge is about $50USD whereas the electical Cobalt gauge is over $200USD. SOunds crazy I know!
thanks
Steve
