Where to tap into ignition signal?

Can I tap into my ignition signal at the Hall sensor output to the ECU? I need to find an rpm related electrical signal to run to a relay. If the Hall sensor might not work, where else might I get such a signal from? Im playing with my 88 SPG and a 5th injector. I need the pulse of the injector to be in time with the RPM, or in some proportion with it. The rest I have figured out and if it works...oh god! Look out (My optimisim may have the best of me:)
