With a turbo, the turbo is placed as close as practical to the head, as the cat converter has to follow. So to get the cat converter to light off as soon as possible, things are short.
Exhaust system tuning is not an option with short headers and a turbo. But then you are not needed to get tuning effects to improve cylinder charging.
As for low restriction. The trionic ECU does not have any such weaknesses with air fuel mixture. You can do anything you want to the exhaust.
But you would be better off doing intake system modes, and get a better intercooler, before you get too tricked out with the exhaust system. The restriction is the turbine. At WOT, there can be 30PSI of pressure drop across the turbine. So reducing an already small pressure drop on the exhaust system is not the right thing to do. By reducing pressure losses in the intake system by 1 PSI, the pressure at the exhaust manifold will drop by about 2 PSI. And by doing this, the turbine will be working less hard, and in a more efficient part of the compressor map. So the air coming out of the compressor will be cooler. And it will get cooled even more effectively in your upgraded itercooler. So the cylinder charge air will be denser for the same boost pressure, which generates greater power, which is further increased by 2PSI less back pressure.
