I may be making a mistake, and I know everyone is going to scoff at the idea, but I may just go with an V or Z rated all season high performance tire. There is one, by Pirelli, I think p7000, though I'm not too sure.

Though maybe too bad for a summer tire in the winter time, our snow conditions here in Kentucky wouldn't facilitate the need for dedicated snow tires if one had all seasons in my opinion, plus I have my 1989 900S to drive around if it gets really bad on certain days.

As far as performance, surely it wouldn't make that perceptable of a difference using a "summer only" tire vs. an utlra high performance all season. There are very few all seasons in a z rating at the 215/45/17 size, however.

what do you think?
