Shift indicator fitted to Viggen

In the first two gears on the Viggen I found it is all too easy to bounce off of the rev limiter. Thus I fitted a modified shift indicator (link below) to my Viggen. This unit does not require any other inputs other than power and ground (read the article for an explanation on how this works.)
Instead of using the supplied LED array I tacked a piezo buzzer onto the circuit card. At the selected RPM the buzzer sounds. The box is mounted in the console adjacent to the audio amplifier. Power is derived from the cell phone harness.
Yes I know this is counter intuitive. I’m as happy as everyone else that the Viggen doesn’t have a shift up light. This really is a different beast.
