I have a 94 9k aero. If I have fairly new or sturdy shocks I like to change the springs first and then wear out the rest of the existing stock shock before I change to a new shock. My car rides and handles suprisingly well and the shock are showing little signs of wear after 5K + miles. I am sure they will burn out soon, but until then I have a firm yet comfortable ride with great handling. For example the rear end only began to step out at 115 mph on a sharp turn that banked the wrong way. FYI I also have 17" Ronal RT's with Kumho ECSTA Supra's, H&R springs, stock aero shocks, and rear poly sway bar bushings. The stock shocks have a total of about 48k miles on them 5k of which was with the springs. If you add springs now the ride you end up with is going to bring a smile to your face every time you step in the car.
