Driven by equal drivers, the Viper will leave the Saab in the dust. For no other reason that power. I would think the cornering acceleration each car can produce is close enough to not be a factor on the street.
If the guy in the Viper is not comfortable with the car; doesn't really know what it can do, i.e. the car is more capable then the driver; or just chicken; then it is very easy to hang with a Viper.
I actually passed a guy in a Viper at a driving school in my stock N/A 900S for no other reason than I was more comfortable with my car and had a better feel for what it could do in the corners.
