Very little difference, in practical terms

Toluene's vapor pressure is a little higher, which would make for slightly easier starts in the wintertime.
The motor octane number (MON) of xylene is a bit higher, which would mean less chance of knocking under loads, which is what we worry about most.
If I were dead set on using one or the other, I'd pick whichever was cheaper. I don't see a reason to mix them for this limited, one-time purpose. (I wouldn't put in more than a couple gallons.)
A cheaper alternative would be to siphon out the 87 regular, and put it in your girlfriend's Toyota. Then fill your Saab with 93 premium.
The easiest, but still safe, alternative would be just to take it easy until this tank is half empty, then fill up with 93 premium. Trionic will adjust as necessary to prevent knocking. That's what I would do if it were my Viggen.
Best regards,
Dave
