Hate to be devil's advocate here but I went with the SMBC and was disappointed with the results. I know there are many people on this forum that use and appreciate the effects and I appreciate the help and discussion regarding the SMBC but it really felt like the car was not running properly with the piece installed. Dean has described the affect as "non-linear" which is exactly what I thought. There was no gain in initial acceleration or throttle response as I had hoped. Yes it was tuned properly. I discussed the idea with someone who works for Saab and was on the Trionic 7 development team and he provided some very good reasoning why this should not be used. Since it was on a different forum I can't post a link but anyone who is curious to our discussion can email me. I know this is going to tick some people off but I really feel it is not a good idea or a beneficial modification to perform on a T7 car.
