The problem is occuring during hard braking from high speeds...the way I visualize the situation is the front of the car has a good deal more stopping power than the rear which causes the rear to try and push past the front. I would guess the suspension setup is the main culprit but perhaps increasing the force applied to stop the rear wheels will help balance things out by giving the rear brakes better stopping ability so the gap between the front and rear wheel stopping power is not as great. There could have been rear brake fade going on as well.
