Go with the PPC. It is cheaper, no core charge, no having to ship your old ECU and you have the flexibility of going back to the stock program whenever you want. It loads via the OBD port under the steering wheel and you can download higher stage programs later for $195. The warranty issue is a bit confusing. My dealer actually sells and installs the Speedparts stage 1 kit (both the PPC and the Swedish Dynamics ECU use this same program made by BSR) and they claim there are no warranty issues. I don't know if they would be as "kind" if the program was purchased elsewhere. The going philosophy is that a modification will not void the warranty as a whole but can cause the denial of a claim if the failure was caused by said modification. In other words if your power window regulator fails you won't have an issue with the warranty but if you crack a piston you might be in for a costly repair depending on how the dealer treats you and the warranty claim. Email me if you are interested in knowing where the cheapest place to get the PPC or same program on a new ECU is. Hint: It's not in the USA.
